City High School (“CHS”, “we”, “us”) operates cityhighschool.edu.pk and related school services from Faisalabad, Pakistan.

The mobile app is a guest and family-facing tool for school information, fee invoice lookup, links to official results and payment pages, campuses, news, and support. It is not a separate commercial product and does not sell personal data.

Information we collect

We may collect information that you provide directly when you contact the school, submit an admission enquiry, request a callback, ask for portal support, or communicate with us through official school channels.

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers, campus preferences, and enquiry details submitted through forms, email, or contact requests.
• Student and guardian details provided for admissions, academic support, result access, attendance follow-up, fee guidance, or operational communication.
• Technical information such as browser type, device details, approximate usage data, and referring pages that help us improve performance, security, and reliability.

City High School mobile app

This section applies to the City High School Android app published on Google Play (package pk.edu.cityhighschool.app). The same policy URL is used in the Play Console store listing and inside the app under More → Privacy & terms.

What the app does

The app helps parents and visitors browse CHS information, look up a fee invoice, open the official results portal or payment page in your device browser, and contact the school. Most school content (campuses, news, admissions text) is loaded from files bundled in the app and does not require you to sign in.

Information you provide in the app

• Fee invoice lookup: If you use Pay fees, you enter an invoice number. That number is sent over encrypted HTTPS to our school API (api.cityhighschool.edu.pk) to retrieve invoice status and related details returned by our systems (such as student name, student ID, amounts, due date, and payment links). We do not use the fee feature to create a marketing profile.
• Demo parent sign-in (preview only): The app may offer a demonstration login with fixed sample credentials for previews. Successful demo sign-in stores only a local “logged in” flag on your device; credentials are not sent to our production servers and demo data is not a live parent account.
• Theme preference: Your light/dark theme choice may be stored locally on the device so the app remembers your setting.
• Contact and results: Opening support, contact, results, or payment pages launches your browser or phone apps. Any information you submit on those external sites is handled under their own policies.

Information collected automatically

• Network requests: When you use fee lookup or when the app loads fonts from Google Fonts, your device connects to the relevant servers. Standard connection metadata (such as IP address and request timing) may be logged by those services as part of normal operation.
• No precise location: The app does not request GPS or background location access.
• No in-app advertising ID: The current app release does not include third-party advertising or sell data to advertisers.
• Analytics: We do not currently embed Firebase Analytics or similar in-app analytics SDKs in this release. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy and the Google Play Data safety form accordingly.

How app information is used

Information from the app is used only for legitimate school purposes: displaying fee invoice status, directing you to official CHS payment or results services, showing school information, improving reliability, and responding to support enquiries you initiate through our website or contact channels.

App permissions (Android)

The City High School app requests only permissions needed for its features:

• Internet — to call the school fee API and open official web links.
• Network state — to detect connectivity and show appropriate messages when offline.

The app does not request access to your contacts, SMS, microphone, camera roll, calendar, or device location.

How we use information

Information is used only for legitimate school purposes such as responding to enquiries, supporting admissions, coordinating with families, processing or displaying fee guidance, improving website and app services, maintaining portal access, and protecting school systems against misuse.

Where appropriate, we may also use contact details to send timetable updates, admissions follow-up, attendance reminders, fee notices, academic alerts, operational messages, or other school-related communication.

Third-party services

Some features rely on trusted third parties. Their handling of data is also governed by their own policies:

• Google Play — distribution, updates, and Play Console policies when you install the app from Google Play.
• Google Fonts — the app may download font files from Google to display typography; see Google’s Privacy Policy.
• CHS APIs and websites — fee lookup uses our API; results open result.cityhighschool.edu.pk; general information is on cityhighschool.edu.pk.
• Payment providers (e.g. Blinq) — when you choose to pay a fee, the app opens a secure payment page in your browser operated by the payment provider. Payment card and banking details are entered on that provider’s site, not inside the CHS app.
• Maps and phone apps — campus directions or phone numbers may open Google Maps, your dialer, or email client at your choice.
• Meta / WhatsApp — optional school messaging as described below.

City High School does not sell personal information to data brokers.

Cookies, analytics, and security

The website may use cookies, session tools, analytics, and security monitoring to improve usability, measure performance, understand page usage, and help prevent spam, abuse, or unauthorized access attempts.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to a school environment, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for app and API traffic, access controls on school systems, and limiting collection to what is needed for stated purposes. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use official CHS channels and keep invoice numbers and portal credentials confidential.

App data stored on your device (such as theme or demo session flags) remains on the device until you clear app storage or uninstall the app.

WhatsApp alerts and Meta services

If a parent, guardian, or authorized contact chooses to receive follow-up messages or alerts on WhatsApp, those messages are delivered through WhatsApp, a service provided by Meta. By using that channel, you understand that message delivery, platform metadata, and service handling are also subject to Meta's own privacy practices and platform rules.

City High School uses WhatsApp only for legitimate school communication such as admission follow-up, attendance reminders, schedule updates, fee-related notices, campus coordination, or other operational alerts where appropriate.

Children’s privacy

City High School serves students of school age and communicates primarily with parents and guardians. The mobile app is intended as a family and visitor tool, not as a direct social network for young children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the app for marketing purposes. Student-related data in fee or portal flows is handled in line with school records and parent/guardian responsibility. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in error, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

For Google Play, the app is categorized for general family and education use; parents should supervise use of fee lookup and external payment or results links.

Sharing, storage, and retention

City High School does not sell personal information. Information may be shared only with authorized school personnel, trusted service providers supporting school operations (such as payment processors when you complete a payment, or hosting providers for our API and website), or where disclosure is required for legal, safety, regulatory, or security reasons.

Fee lookup requests are processed by our systems to return invoice information; payment details you enter on a third-party payment site are handled by that provider. We keep records only for as long as reasonably necessary for admissions, school operations, communication continuity, compliance, dispute handling, safeguarding, or service support.

Your rights and choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. You may contact the school to:

• Request correction of information you have submitted through forms or official channels.
• Ask whether the school still needs a record for an active purpose.
• Request deletion where appropriate and consistent with school, legal, and operational obligations (including academic and financial record-keeping).
• Clear local app preferences by clearing storage for City High School in Android settings or uninstalling the app.

We will respond to reasonable privacy requests in a timely manner.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, app, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when material changes are made. Continued use of the website or app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
